Television is Training Me to Not Watch Television

Scott Adams' Blog

Way back in olden times when there were only a few television channels, I enjoyed watching television. I was happy with it most of the time. But in recent years, my television has trained me to stop watching it.
My cable company now offers hundreds of options. That means I can’t find a show within five minutes of searching, and my patience no longer lasts five minutes. My smart phone trained me to have a far shorter attention span than television demands. Mindlessly searching for TV shows among the hundreds of options feels like putting my brain in jail.
If you add one person to the room with me, the odds of finding a mutually-acceptable show that neither of us have already watched approaches zero. But I look anyway, failing at every stage.

War And Peace In The Age Of Trump

The Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity

A month into the new Trump Administration has been a mixed bag when it comes to foreign policy. On the one hand, the President has reiterated his desire to get along with Russia even with all the shrieking of neocon disapproval. On the other hand, neocons have infiltrated and continue to infiltrate his Administration. In today's Liberty Report we are joined by Lew Rockwell to take a look at War and Peace in the Age of Trump -- and introduce an exciting joint Mises Institute/Ron Paul Institute symposium on the topic!

Watch: Guy Builds Shotgun Out of Items Purchased After Going Through TSA at the Airport

\The Daily Sheeple

2017-02-27_1-39-38
Maybe eventually they really will just ban everything.
It may not look like much from the screen capture above, but the mad genius over at Terminal Cornucopia on YouTube was able to build a break-action shotgun out of items he purchased in the airport after going through TSA… a weapon capable of exploding and shooting a hole the size of almost two quarters near a sheet of drywall.
Watch:
The weapon itself survived the blast as well.

Why Every Policeman Should Not Carry Guns – Only Specially Trained Squads

Armstrong Economics

An off-duty Los Angeles police officer pissed-off at teens traipsing on his lawn pulled out his gun and fired a shot during a sidewalk scuffle with several minors. Protests were sparked after a video that was filmed on Tuesday afternoon emerged showing the confrontation between the off-duty LAPD cop and a group of teens who he had apparently accused of walking on his lawn. The confrontation ends with the officer pulling his gun out and firing a shot that did not hit anyone as the teens fled.
In London, the average policemen was unarmed. If there was any incident that required an armed confrontation, then a special squad was called in. Here this off-duty cop is just nuts. These are clearly not a gang, they are teenagers walking home from school. Kids will be kids. Walking on someone’s lawn did not give this insane policeman the right to drag this kid to his property for what reason?  He should be fired immediately.

Retail Apocalypse Gains Momentum as David Stockman Warns 'Everything Will Grind to a Halt' After March 15th

The Daily Sheeple

J.C. Penney and Family Christian Stores are the latest retail giants to announce widespread store closings. As you will see below, J.C. Penney plans to close between 130 and 140 stores, and Family Christian is closing all of their 240 stores. In recent months the stock market has been absolutely soaring, and so most people have simply assumed that the “real economy” must be doing well. But that is not the case at all. In fact, the retail apocalypse that I have been documenting for quite some time appears to be gaining momentum.
J.C. Penney is not in as rough shape as Sears is just yet, but it is definitely on a similar trajectory. In the end, they are both headed for bankruptcy. That is why it wasn’t too much of a surprise when J.C. Penney announced that they are getting rid of about 6,000 workers and closing at least 130 stores…

The Climate Science Debate Illusion

Scott Adams' Blog

Today I declare the climate science “debate” to be mostly an illusion.
You think you live in a world in which there are climate science skeptics on one side of the debate, and climate scientists, plus their believers, on the other side. And you think they are talking about the same thing.
That isn’t what’s happening. It’s mostly an illusion.

Where Did ISIS Get Drones From??

The Daily Sheeple

by Cassius Kamarampi
On Tuesday and Wednesday, ISIS hit the Syrian Arab Army with drone strikes in the eastern Qalamoun Mountains and Syrian Desert. That’s right: ISIS is using drones now.
