Water WARS Erupting Across Our World As Fresh Water Supplies Collide With Surging Food Demand

Water is a precious commodity, and without it we can’t grow food and survive. Yet industrial agriculture wastes water on a shocking scale, using open air irrigation and relying on fossil water supplies to grow food inefficiently.
If we hope to meet the demands of surging human population, we must conserve our water resources through sustainable agricultural methods such as permaculture and organic agriculture.
With many of the world’s largest aquifers now collapsing, much of the fossil water supply that feeds our world will be depleted before the year 2050.

Why Amazon Won’t Save Your Struggling Town

When e-commerce giant Amazon announced that it would be searching for a location for a second headquarters—and bringing as many as 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in investment to a lucky city—it set off a stunning chain of events. The scene was not unlike that of the classic film It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, where a group of ordinary people lose all their moral sense as they race for a hidden fortune buried under a big “W.”
It’s the stuff of dreams for economic development agencies, so it’s not surprising that, according to Reuters, Amazon received 238 proposals from across the United States, Canada and Mexico. According to Amazon, they intend their second headquarters to be similar to their main offices in Seattle: around eight million square feet, 33 buildings, $25 billion in wages paid to employees and $43 million for the public-transportation system.

Two Paths Diverge: Which One Will the President Take?

At the beginning of the year as the President was assuming office, I penned a piece that focused upon the need for the President to “clean house” regarding the Administration, and putting Congress in its place. I also stressed the need for him to run a “tight ship,” as the midterm elections of Congress in 2018 are going to determine the success of his term. As it stands, things do not look very promising. RINO (Republicans in Name Only) members of Congress have derailed his efforts on everything from Obamacare to Border Control. Every effort the President has initiated has met with dogged resistance.

Who are these resistors? To be sure, many of them can be found ensconced within levels of government or government-influenced positions where said position is not necessarily determined or changed by an incoming administration. An example of how this happens is Ben Bernanke, appointed to head the Federal Reserve under George W. Bush, and kept in place by Obama until 2014 when Yellen stepped into the spot.

Refugees From US-held Area Of al-Tanaf Declare Support To Syrian Army, Seek To Return To Government-held Area

On November 25, the civil council of the Syrian Rukban refugee camp located on the Syrian-Jordanian border started negotiations with the Syrian government to reach a reconciliation deal, according to the Syrian pro-opposition media outlet “Hammurabi’s Justice News”.
Hammurabi’s Justice News released a list of demands, which the Rukban Civil Council had sent to the Syrian government. In the list, the Rukban Civil Council asked the government to allow the refugees from the camp to return to their towns and villages.

Trump Slams CFPB As 'Total Disaster'

President Donald Trump declared that he would bring the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) “back to life,” and criticized how the agency has been devastating to financial institutions under the previous administration’s leadership.
“The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, or CFPB, has been a total disaster as run by the previous Administrations [sic] pick,” Trump tweeted Saturday. “Financial Institutions have been devastated and unable to properly serve the public. We will bring it back to life.”

Just as every new generation thinks it discovered sex, refusing to wonder how they came kicking and screaming into the world, apparently the new thing is for every generation to think it discovered sexual harassment.

Trump Would Be a Fool to Arm Ukraine

John Hudson reports on the push to get Trump to approve sending arms to Ukraine:
President Donald Trump’s top advisers are closer now to achieving what seemed unthinkable at the start of his presidency: Shipping millions of dollars of US weapons to Ukraine’s embattled military.
According to the report, Trump’s advisers think that the president will agree to arming Ukraine if they can persuade him that it will lead to “peace” and the Ukrainian government will pay for the weapons. It’s possible that they might sucker Trump into believing this, but he would be a fool to listen to them. Sending arms to Ukraine makes a dramatic increase in violence more likely. It will almost certainly lead to escalation and will make a peace settlement even harder to reach. There is no military necessity for providing these weapons to Ukraine now, unless the goal is to encourage their government to go on the offensive. That obviously won’t lead to “peace,” but rather to a renewed conflict that Ukraine can’t win.
