What A Load Of Crap « The Burning Platform

What A Load Of Crap « The Burning Platform

Guest Post by Karl Denninger

A secret U.S. policy that prohibits immigration officials from reviewing the social media messages of foreign citizens applying for U.S. visas was reportedly kept in place over fears of a civil liberties backlash and “bad public relations.”
Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson refused in early 2014 to end the policy, even though several other officials in the organization pressed for such a policy change, ABC News reported Monday.
Gross negligence and accessory before the fact to terrorism.
There is no “civil liberties” intrusion into what someone says or does in public.
This is not about “warrant-less data collection” or anything of the sort.  What you say in public, in the clear, under your own name is yours.  Period.
There is utterly nothing wrong with the US government using it to vet you.
Nothing.
Jeh is full of crap and so is everyone else involved in this.
They all need to be fired and indicted and everyone involved needs to be publicly identified by name.  If that reaches into the White House then Obama must be impeached.
Now.
