Most people agree that the so-called “justice system” in this country is broken. The more money you have to spend on lawyers and creative defenses, the less punishment you endure for your crimes. If you are a cop who commits one of those crimes, well, you have a good chance of never seeing the inside of a jail cell, statistically speaking.
Why? Because what kind of police do you call on the police?
That’s what one of the 13 rape and sexual assault victims, a teen girl, responded when someone asked her why she didn’t report her rape by 29-year-old former Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Ken Holtzclaw.

Holtzclaw has just been sentenced to 263 YEARS in prison for multiple counts of rape and sexual assault. Multiple women brought forth various charges.
He was found guilty of 18 sexual offenses, including four counts of first-degree rape, involving ten victims. Victims varied from a 57-year-old grandmother he pulled over and forced into the back of his squad car, to a seventeen-year-old girl who he raped on her mother’s front porch. The teen’s DNA was found on the inside and outside of the former officer’s pants.
Because he was a cop and because the victims were all poor African American women, this guy apparently thought no one would believe them even if they did tell someone.
He thought he could get away with it.
Holtzclaw, who denied all charges, was sentenced after just six weeks and asked for a new trial. His request, like the requests of his victims to not be raped by a police officer who is supposed to serve and protect them, has been denied.
Justice, at least in this case and for once, has been served.
And he cried like a baby the whole time he was sentenced.
