GIVE THIS 20 MINUTES: A REAL LESSON IN ISLAM

I know videos aren’t terribly popular here unless they are under 30 seconds in length contain bouncing titties or involve music you can leave playing in the background. However, unless you’ve seen this video before I can guarantee you’ll learn something new. Give this just 20 minutes. If you don’t learn something new or something that doesn’t inspire you to finish watching in the first 20 minutes then by all means give it a pass.
The speaker is Dr. Bill Warner and I posted another of his videos (they’re all great) in the ISLAMIC HISTORY LESSON thread the other day when Crat, a long time TBP reader, requested some supporting info for this statement from that post:

Ex-CIA Whistleblower: 'Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services'

This is a flashback interview on the Keiser Report from March 2015 with whistleblower David Steele. Steele is a 20-year Marine Corps intelligence officer and the second-highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps Intelligence, on top of being a former CIA clandestine services case officer.
According to Steele:
“Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are created by our own security services. In the United States, every single terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant pushed on by the FBI. In fact, we now have citizens taking out restraining orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become a lunatic asylum.”
Let that sink in for a sec.

Is Islamic Terror America's Future?

By Patrick J. Buchanan
If the cliches hold — nothing succeeds like success, the past is prologue — this generation will not likely see an end to the jihadist terror that was on display at Pulse in Orlando on Sunday.
For terrorism has proven to be among the most cost-effective and successful strategies of war that the world has ever seen.
Consider. The 9/11 attacks involved 19 hijackers willing to crash airliners into four buildings: the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and the Capitol.
So doing, those 19 altered the foreign policy of the United States.

CIA Director Warns Islamic State Militants Are Coming, Smuggled As Refugees | Zero Hedge

CIA Director Warns Islamic State Militants Are Coming, Smuggled As Refugees

CIA Director John Brennan spoke before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Thursday where he is expected to warn US lawmakers that Islamic State militants are training and preparing to deploy operatives for further attacks on the West and will rely more on guerrilla-style tactics to compensate for their territorial losses.
Per his prepared remarks before the Committee, Brennan said that ISIS has been working to build an apparatus to direct and inspire attacks against its foreign enemies, as in the recent attacks in Paris and Brussels. "ISIL has a large cadre of Western fighters who could potentially serve as operatives for attacks in the West."
Most importantly, he said the Islamic State is working to smuggle them into countries, perhaps among refugee flows or through legitimate means of travel.
Brennan also noted the group's call for followers to conduct so-called lone-wolf attacks in their home countries. He called last week's attack in Orlando a "heinous act of wanton violence" and an "assault on the values of openness and tolerance" that define the United States as a nation.
It is unclear just how Brennan's testimony is supposed to comfort Americans that, as Obama has been pleading, the Orlando attack was not the result of an activist of "radicalized Islam." If anything, the CIA director's warning confirms the concerns voiced by Trump that the US is the target for deadly ISIS ambitions.

The Rape of the West « The Burning Platform

The Rape of the West

I wanted to find a less ugly title for this article, but I couldn’t find one that still conveyed the depth of the crimes that are under way. So, apologies where they are due.
In this post, I’m going to give you an overview of what is going on and an outline of how the schemes work. I am not going to “prove” everything I write with citations and math. That’s an important thing to do, but today I’ll pass. If you doubt anything I write here, do your own research: Find the facts, question them, compare them, and forge your own opinions.

What’s Happening

Right now, people who can fairly be called the “ruling elite” are bleeding the West dry, and many of them are fully aware of what they’re doing. Others are simply “doing what works” and hiding behind slogans like “it’s all legal” that help them bypass morality.

Humpday Humor? Country That Executes Gay People Pledges To Help US Avenge Orlando Shooting | Zero Hedge

Humpday Humor? Country That Executes Gay People Pledges To Help US Avenge Orlando Shooting

Here is further proof that US foreign policy fact is stranger than fiction: one day after the Orlando shooting where some 50 patrons of a homosexual bar were gunned down, US Secretary of State John Kerry sat down to dinner with with Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Washington, D.C. and, according to the State Department, "discussed this weekend's shooting in Orlando and expressed their shared commitment to continue their cooperation in combatting the spread of violent extremism, both regionally and internationally."
Yes, the same country that follows as a matter of official policy the exact treatment of homosexuals as was meted out by the Orlando shooter has expressed concern over extremism!
Saudi Arabia's own "violent extremism" doesn't end at its treatment of homosexuals.
As the defense minister of the Saudi kingdom, Saudi Prince Mohammed bin Salman is responsible for the brutal and genocidal waron Yemen and for Saudi Arabia's strong backing of radical jihadists -- including al-Qaeda -- who for the past five years have killed tens of thousands in attempt to overthrow secular Syrian president Assad.
Also, if reports about the contents of the still-classified "28 Pages" of the 9/11 report are accurate, the Saudi government played a role in the al-Qaeda attacks on the United States.
Imagine sitting down to dinner with Mohammed bin Salman and listening with a straight face as he bleated on about human rights and the need to combat violent extremism. Is there enough (non-alcoholic) beverages on earth to make a meal like that go down.

As an Arab, the Middle East's reaction to Orlando left me speechless…

By Mohammed Rady
Recently, a devastating terrorist attack took place in Orlando, where 49 innocent people were murdered. Surely, the majority of people in the Arab world condemn this atrocious act of violence? The most fatal shooting in recent American history cannot possibly be celebrated by such a large number of peace-loving people who, after all, mostly condemn the acts of terror committed in the name of Islam by groups like ISIS and Al-Qaeda, right? Right?
Wrong.
As a bilingual Arabic and English speaker from the Middle East, I took the liberty of browsing through Arabic news pages on Facebook earlier today; namely Al Jazeera, Al-Arabiya, BBC Arabic and a number of Egyptian news outlets to gauge how the Arab world was responding to the Orlando shooting. The results were disappointing, alarming, and depressing to say the least. Each page’s comment section was inundated with posts showing sympathy towards the attacker, praising him for his actions and wishing death upon members of the international LGBT community. Comments ranged from jokes about the incident and how “the gays had it coming,” to long du’as (religious supplications), wishing death upon gays and lesbians, as well as asking God to grant the killer “the highest place in paradise.” I considered collecting screenshots of these comments to raise awareness about the amount of hatred towards the gay community in the Middle East, but it soon dawned on me that such a task would be impossible.

Islam & the West: Irreconcilable Conflict? – Patrick J. Buchanan - Official Website

Islam & the West: Irreconcilable Conflict?

By Patrick J. Buchanan
On Saturday night, Omar Mateen was a loner and a loser.
Sunday, he was immortal, by his standards, a hero. Mateen had ended his life in a blaze of gunfire and glory. Now everybody knew his name.
He had been embraced by ISIS. His face was on every TV screen. His 911 call to Orlando police identifying with the Islamic State and the Tsarnaev brothers of the Boston Marathon massacre was being heard across America.
He was being called the most successful Islamist terrorist since 9/11. A hater of homosexuals, Mateen had, all alone, massacred more than four dozen patrons at a gay Florida nightclub, wounded 53, and driven deeper the wedges breaking up America. When it was learned that he used an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, America’s gun wars were reignited.

Frustrations of Telling the Truth -- Paul Craig Roberts - PaulCraigRoberts.org

Frustrations of Telling the Truth

Paul Craig Roberts
Some readers who read the sample of appreciation expressed for my columns (http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2016/06/07/quarterly-call-for-your-support/ ) want to know about the abuse.
Why not.
Some examples: If I criticize the Israeli government for abusing Palestinians and stealing their country, the Israel Lobby accuses me of being an anti-semite who wants to repeat the holocaust. In the same batch of emails, anti-semites denounce me for being too easy on Israel and covering up for the Jewish conspiracy against mankind.
When I write about the One Percent using the government to loot the economy, I receive emails blaming me because I worked for Reagan “who started it all by cutting tax rates for the rich.”
These people have no conception of supply-side economics, its purpose, success, and the way it prepared the way for Reagan to negotiate the end of the Cold War. At one point in their lives they read a left-wing screed against Reagan, and that is the extent of their understanding. But they are full of blind hate.

The soft bigotry of the American Left when it comes to the Middle East - War in Context

The soft bigotry of the American Left when it comes to the Middle East

It has been rightly observed that the Republican Party’s long tolerance of racist attitudes set the stage for Donald Trump’s rise. But Democrats, too, are using expedient prejudice to drive their political agenda this cycle. Consider how the Obama White House has embraced talk about the “backward” Middle East to account for their own staggering foreign-policy failures there.
The first full embrace of this rhetoric by President Obama himself appeared in Jeffrey Goldberg’s remarkable Atlantic profile, wherein he explicitly cited the notion that conflict and the Middle East are inherently linked. Describing the political fallout of his intervention in Libya, Obama bemoaned “the degree of tribal division” amongst the Libyan people, suggesting that a sort of Libyan sophistication deficiency was responsible for the “chaos” that followed the NATO intervention. Through the article, the President contrasts the people of the Middle East with those in Asian and African societies “filled with striving, ambitious, energetic people who are every single day scratching and clawing to build businesses and get education and find jobs and build infrastructure.” The contrast is, Obama declares, “pretty stark” — leaving the implicit question: What can you do with these people?

The "Crime" Of Offending Islam & Death Of Free Speech In Europe | Zero Hedge

The "Crime" Of Offending Islam & Death Of Free Speech In Europe

Across Europe, cartoonists, artists and writers are forced to live under police protection, and also often face criminal prosecution - all for the "crime" of offending Islam.
"'Respect' means, for them, submission." It starts with censoring cartoons...
Gatestone Institute's Giulio Meotti explains what is going on across Europe...
Speech is either free or it isn’t. One cannot have it both ways, as the EU apparatchiks apparently think. As soon as restrictions on free speech are introduced, abuse is sure to follow.

Will Western powers soon bow to House of Saud? — RT Op-Edge

Will Western powers soon bow to House of Saud?

Within days of shaming Saudi Arabia for its atrocious war abuses against Yemen – most specifically Yemeni children, the United Nations was forced to back peddle on its decision, in order to assuage Riyadh’s wrath. What a 'brave' new world we live in!
It all began with the publication of a UN report earlier this month, pinpointing the many abuses and violence perpetrated against children in conflict zones – in the case of the kingdom, Yemen. The 40-page report, which was mainly penned by Leila Zerrougui, the UN special representative for children and armed conflict — asserted the Saudi-led coalition, was responsible for about 60 percent of 1,953 child deaths and injuries in Yemen since last year.
While Zerrougui’s findings clearly ruffled Saudi Arabia’s feathers, firmly putting the kingdom as a serial human rights offender, her findings were not exactly news breaking. Saudi Arabia’s track record has long left something to be desired; may it be in Yemen, or even within its own borders.
Of course Riyadh could not let the United Nations get away with such crime of ‘Lèse majesté’. One does not criticize the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia! Not even the heavens would stand for such treachery.

And so the kingdom made the UN retract its initial statement, demanding that its good name be removed from the infamous human rights blacklist.

Saudis Threaten To Leave U.N. Over Human Rights Criticism In Yemen | Zero Hedge

Saudis Threaten To Leave U.N. Over Human Rights Criticism In Yemen

Saudi Arabia threatened this week to break relations with the United Nations and cut hundreds of millions of dollars in assistance to its humanitarian relief and counterterrorism programs to strong-arm the U.N. into removing Riyadh and its allies from a blacklist of groups that are accused of harming children in armed conflict.
The threat — which has not been previously reported — worked, and the U.N. subsequently dropped the Saudis from a rogues’ gallery of the world’s worst violators of children’s rights in conflict zones.
In their Monday warning, senior Saudi diplomats told top U.N. officials Riyadh would use its influence to convince other Arab governments and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to sever ties with the United Nations, the officials said. The threats were issued in a series of exchanges between top Saudi officials in Riyadh, including Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir, according to U.N.-based officials. The Saudi mission to the United Nations did not respond to a request for comment Tuesday afternoon.
Riyadh was enraged after U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon included the Saudi-led military coalition in Yemen on a list of countries, rebel movements, and terrorist organizations that killed, maimed, or otherwise abused children in conflict. The 40-page report — which was issued last week and primarily written by Leila Zerrougui, the U.N. chief’s special representative for children and armed conflict — claimed the coalition was responsible for about 60 percent of 1,953 child deaths and injuries in Yemen since last year.
Hoping to mollify the Saudis, Ban issued a statement Monday saying he would remove the Saudi-led coalition from the list, pending a review of the matter by a joint U.N. and Saudi panel. The reversal triggered a wave of criticism of the U.N. from human rights groups, who accused Ban of caving to Saudi intimidation.

SELF-LOATHING IN THE WEST

The lack of a majority of individuals in the West willing to defend Western Civilization and the lack of an understanding of the value of it means that the battle to save it will be unnecessarily bloody and destructive.
How sad that so many are simply willing to throw it all away.

How Americans Came to Die in the Middle East | MishTalk

How Americans Came to Die in the Middle East

This is a guest post, sent to me on Tuesday, by reader Craig Cantoni, a former military officer whose father is in a veteran’s cemetery.
Cantoni presents a historical picture on many levels as to what has happened and is still going on in the Middle East.
How Americans Came to Die in the Middle East by Craig Cantoni
The writing of this historical synopsis began yesterday, Memorial Day. It is an attempt by this former artillery officer with a father buried in a veteran’s cemetery to understand why brave Americans were sent to their death in the Middle East and are still dying there.
The hope is that we finally can learn from history and not keep repeating the same mistakes.
It’s important to stick to the facts, since the history of the Middle East already has been grossly distorted by partisan finger-pointing and by denial and cognitive dissonance among the politicians, foreign policy experts (in their own minds), and media blowhards and literati on the left and right, who now claim that they had nothing to do with grievous policy mistakes that they had once endorsed.

Europe Braces for More Jihadist Attacks: "Another Attempted Attack Is Almost Certain"

  • Sports stadiums and big music events are especially vulnerable: "This is where you put a small town into a small area for a couple of hours." — Neil Basu, deputy assistant commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, London.
  • "We know that the Islamic State has the European Championship in its sights." — Hans-Georg Maaßen, head of Germany's domestic intelligence agency.
  • According to Patrick Calvar, head of the France's domestic intelligence agency, at least 645 French nationals or residents, including 245 women, are currently with the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq. Another 200 individuals are "in transit," either on their way to Syria or returning to France. Around 244 jihadists have already returned to France.
  • British police chiefs are struggling to recruit enough officers who are willing to carry a firearm, because many fear they will be treated as criminal suspects if they use their weapon in the line of duty.
European security officials are bracing for potential jihadist attacks at public venues across Europe this summer.
In France, officials are preparing for possible attacks against the European Football Championships. The games, which start on June 10, comprise 51 matches involving 24 teams playing in 10 host cities across the country.
Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that more than 90,000 security personnel will be on hand to protect the 2.5 million spectators expected to attend the games, as well as the hundreds of thousands more who will watch the matches on big screens in so-called "fan zones" in major cities.
Patrick Calvar, the head of the France's domestic intelligence agency (Direction générale de la sécurité intérieure, DGSI), warned: "We know that the Islamic State is planning new attacks in France." He added:

Is Obama's Entire Foreign Policy Going Down In Flames? | Zero Hedge

Is Obama's Entire Foreign Policy Going Down In Flames?

First, let's look at where we stand in each of Obama's current 'missions'...

LIBYA

On May 19th, the Washington Post headlined «Agreement that could lead to US troops in Libya could be reached ‘any day’», and reported that Joseph F Dunford, Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, said that US troops will be sent to Libya to fight against ISIS, and that, «there will be a long-term mission in Libya», in order to deal with the mushrooming presence of ISIS fighters who have come to Libya after the secularist leader of Libya, Muammar Gaddafi, was overthrown there by US bombing backed up by other NATO forces, and some Libyans on the ground.
«There is interest among some NATO nations in participating in the mission, Dunford said, but the specifics of who and what would be involved remain unclear. The operation will likely focus on training and equipping militias that pledge loyalty to Prime Minister Fayez Sarraj, the leader of the new Libyan Government of National Accord (GNA)», which «has not yet been accepted by either existing rival government in Libya». In other words: the US and its allies had produced a failed state and a festering jihadist breeding-ground where US troops now will be sent in order to re-establish the peace and prosperity that it had destroyed there. They’ll do this by participating in Libya’s civil war – trying to dictate whom Libya’s leader will be.

Dalai Lama: There Are ‘Too Many’ Refugees in Europe « The Burning Platform

Dalai Lama: There Are ‘Too Many’ Refugees in Europe

From the mouths of famous and respected (mostly by the left) senior citizens:
Well, well. When Donald Trump says Muslim immigration should be temporarily halted until things get sorted out, the media and the left (but I repeat myself) heads explode. Where are those critics when the Dalai Lama says the exact same thing?
In an interview published late last week, the Dalai Lama said that Europe has accepted “too many” refugees, and that they should eventually return to help rebuild their home countries.
According to Digital Journal, the Tibetan spiritual leader said,
“When we look into the face of every single refugee, especially the children and women, we can feel their suffering.”
What women and children? They’re nearly all adult males.
“A human being who is a bit more fortunate has the duty to help them. On the other hand, there are too many now,” he said in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “Europe, for example Germany, cannot become an Arab country,” he added with a laugh. “Germany is Germany.”
Too late. Germany last year took in 1.1 million purported refugees fleeing war in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan and other countries.
“There are so many that in practice it becomes difficult.”
Yes, to put it mildly.
He added that “from a moral point of view too, I think that the refugees should only be admitted temporarily. The goal should be that they return and help rebuild their countries.”
That’s not going to happen. That was never the goal.
The Dalai Lama, 80, who has himself lived in exile for over half a century, said in the interview that he hopes to one day return to Tibet.
“Maybe in a few years. If an opportunity for my return arises, or at least for a short visit, that would be a source of great joy.”

Via Truth Revolt
Imagine that. Germany for the Germans. Syria for the Syrians. And so forth and so on. Now, if we could only convince our governments to quit meddling in everyone’s affairs and stirring the shit politically from one end of the globe to the other then maybe, just maybe, people would stay put and we could all build our lives peacefully if not separately. Somehow I don’t think this is going to get a lot of play time in the mainstream media.

Turkish Court Convicts Former Miss Turkey of “Insulting the President”

Hundreds of Turkish academics are waiting to find out whether they will be prosecuted or sacked for spreading “terrorist propaganda”, after they signed a petition calling for violence to end in Turkey’s southeast, where government forces have been fighting Kurdish separatists.
After the petition provoked a furious response from Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, several universities in the country have begun investigations into signatories among their faculty — which could lead to their dismissal if accusations of unlawful political agitation hold up. On 15 January, police arrested and later released 27 academics, according to local media reports, including economists, physicians and scientists.
In the latest example of petty tyranny from NATO member and U.S. government “ally” Turkey, a former Miss Turkey has been convicted of sharing a satirical poem that insulted thin-skined President Tayyip Erdoğan.
Reuters reports:
