Heh Jeb! Go F Yourself; Trump Is Right (Again) « The Burning Platform

Guest Post by Karl Denninger
“Blame him or don’t blame him, but (Bush) was president,” Trump said. “The World Trade Center came down during his reign.”
Jeb didn’t like that, and responded with:
Jeb Bush responded on Twitter, saying “How pathetic for @realdonaldtrump to criticize the president for 9/11. We were attacked & my brother kept us safe.”
Oh really?
The CIC owns every ****up under him during his presidency.  Period.  That’s the job; if you don’t like it then don’t take it.  And there were plenty of ****ups.
  • FACT: Unchecked overstays of Visas were committed by several of the 9/11 hijackers prior to 9/11.  If the INS had actually bothered to give a damn about our immigration laws and policy they would have been ejected and not in the country to commit their evil plan.
  • FACT: The little sheetheads bought simulator time from a former servicemember who owns his own facility for training airline pilots.  He thought it was damn odd that the jackasses were paying in cash and didn’t want to know how to land.  He called the FBI.  What did the FBI do?  Nothing.  If they had done something (like investigated, you know, which is their job?) the sheetheads would have been discovered, probably with their expired Visas, and been expelled.  It’s hard to use a plane as a bomb when you’re not here to do it.
  • FACT: Most of the little sheetheads were Saudi Nationals.  Further there were at least two residences owned by Saudis that we know of in the United States, one in Sarasota and another reported out west, that were rapidly vacated after 9/11, literally leaving everything behind.  Did the people owning and using those residences have a criminal connection to 9/11?  We’ll never know because Bush let them leave, just like we have let several other Saudi nationals leave — including those who have fled to avoid prosecution for various crimes including alleged sexual assault.
  • FACT: There is allegedly a significant amount of material in the 9/11 report that details supposed connections to Saudi Arabia in the financing and logistics of the 9/11 operation.  All of this remains classified and has never been brought out where the public can see it.  Given the billions of dollars of military hardware we’ve given and sold to Saudi Arabia and our oil dependence (especially at the time) this might be explainable, but it remains a fact that Iraq had exactly zero to do with the financing and logistics related to 9/11, and Saudi Arabia is known in public information to have such a connection due to the above.
  • FACT: Bush shielded the airlines from having to face potentially disastrous civil litigation for their failure to detect and prevent the hijackings, most-specifically by not reinforcing the cockpit doors.  Said act was arguably done because the lighter door meant the plane could carry another passenger or two, ergo, money. These cases were never tried in civil court but should have been.  Instead Bush and Congress provided them immunity through a government payoff to the victims families and the replacement of private airport security with the TSA, a government agency that was wasted billions of dollars on worthless technology (e.g. rapescanners) along with generating a monstrous bureaucracy that has not only failed to catch a single terrorist said agency also has hired people who have pilfered luggage and committed various other crimes including but not limited to drug smuggling.  Are we safer for this?  Obviously not; if I can smuggle a bag full of pot by bribing a TSA agent what makes you think something dangerous might not be in that same bag?
  • FACT: ISIS did not exist previously and now it does.  We destabilized the Middle East without a cogent plan to fix what we broke and then Bush declared “victory” before even securing the nation we bombed!  The original Gulf War was certainly supportable based on Saddam invading another nation, whether we tacitly goaded him into it (which is alleged but not proved) or not.  But the fact of the matter is that the second war was poorly planned, even more-poorly executed, the ROE read more like a police action than a war and in the harsh light of history it destabilized instead of improving the situation in that part of the world.  In the end all decisions are only fairly judged by their results, not their mantras or political dogma.
There’s more but this is plenty.  There were multiple opportunities to prevent that attack and agencies under Bush failed to detect or exploit any of them.  As President, The Boss if you will, Bush is ultimately responsible for the execution failures of every department in the Government — including the above.
As for being “safer”, please explain how when we have millions of illegal immigrants that continue to wander our land, we’re knowingly taking in so-called “refugees” from a destabilized area we contributed to the roiling of and every bit of military experience we’ve had over 200+ years says that when you have a situation like this somewhere between 1 in 5 and 1 in 20 of such “refugees” are either (1) sympathizers with the bad guys and will pass intelligence to them or worse (2) infiltrators who are actively attempting to find a weakness to exploit and strike.
Irrespective of how you feel about Bush as a President the fact of the matter is that Trump is, once again, correct.
I want a President that owns both his successes and failures.
Jeb Bush has demonstrated that he believes we should NOT hold a President responsible for the screw-ups that happen under their watch.
Trump, on the other hand, accepts said responsibility and is willing to own it.
Good.
