Sanctuary Cities Free 1,000 Criminal Aliens Every Month | The Daily Sheeple
It’s one thing if a city wants to protect the illegal aliens that reside within their borders. However, you’d think that it would be in their best interest to at least deport the illegals that are known criminals, right? Apparently not, since most of the 340 sanctuary cities and counties in this country are more than willing to protect many of the hardened criminals that cross over our borders on a regular basis.
And I’m not referring to the people who broke the law by getting here. Many of these people are extremely dangerous. According to a recent study, sanctuary cities release approximately 1,000 of these criminal aliens every month, instead of handing them over to ICE (who then have to spend more time and money to apprehend the aliens again). The study found that between January and September of 2014, 9,295 criminals were released. 62% of those who were detained carried prior criminal histories, of which 58% were felonies.
2,320 of them were arrested again within the 9 month time frame of the study, and of the 6,460 illegal aliens that are still at large, 3,802 have prior felonies and violent misdemeanors. It’s bad enough that these cities are housing people who enter our country illegally, but they’re putting their citizens in serious danger when they hold political correctness above justice.
