I realize this may be hard for some simple minds to grasp, but there can be no consent , implicit or otherwise given,where none was ever sought.
As Matthew Reece brilliantly points out in the essay below, consent to rule by violent force is a personal choice and if that choice is not made voluntarily, then it is no choice at all.
